About the Author
Paul A. Mendel
Paul Mendel was born in Stockport in the United Kingdom, spent four years in Wales and then moved to Sidcup, Kent. At aged 12 years he emigrated to New Zealand with his family where he was educated, graduating with honours in a master’s degree in History and English.
Paul taught for five years in New Zealand, largely concentrating on History, before moving to Perth, Western Australia, where he taught at a number of prestigious schools including: Wesley College, St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School, All Saints’ College and is at present teaching at Willetton High School.
For most of his teaching life he has focused on English and for 33 years he was an examiner in ATAR English (University Entrance). Some of his interests include: metaphysics, dreams and the power of the mind.
Paul has used visualization and mind control in the teaching of his classes. He is concerned at the number of high school students who are not coping with the pressures of our rapidly changing society.
He addresses these issues in his novels believing that for every problem there is a solution, but to find it one needs to enter the stillness within. He has been a long-term deacon in Rosa Veritas, formerly the Independent Church of Australia. Paul is married with four children, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a dog and a cat.
